All Surveys Are Out!

All Backerkit surveys have now been sent out! Please keep an eye on your email inbox (and check spam just in case) for your survey to arrive. It should be self-explanatory, but if you have any questions, you can reach out for assistance. Once I get all of the surveys back, I'll be able to send in the final draft of the book for a proof copy. Then we'll be on our way!!!

I will be sending out the first few surveys via Backerkit in a few days. The survey will only be sent to a select few as a trial run to make sure there aren't any issues. This is my first time using both Kickstarter and Backerkit, so I want to make sure that I completed the form properly, and that you guys won't have any issues placing your orders. Once I get those initial surveys back, I will make any changes that might need to be made (hopefully none), and then I'll send out surveys to the rest of you. If you are in the first set, please complete your survey as soon as possible so I can see if there are any problems with it. If you don't receive one in a few days, just know that yours will be coming soon.
My timeline states that delivery should be in October, but I'm trying to get everything out as early as I can to you. Once I get all of the surveys back, I can submit my proof. If there are no issues with that, things will move relatively quickly from there. If there are any problems with the proof, that will push me closer to the actual projected date. It usually takes a couple of weeks for me to get the proof back, and then another 3-4 weeks to get the books delivered to me once they are finalized. Of course, I'll keep you all updated as each step is completed.

Completion Update

Hello everyone! The campaign is officially over, but the fun is just beginning! Thanks to all of you, my first Kickstarter was a success, and now it's time to get the next steps into motion. I will be updating about once a week to keep you all informed of how the process is going. If anything pops up inbetween those updates, I will send an extra one out, just to make sure that I am being fully transparent.
So, what are the next steps? Kickstarter will be collecting funds from you all first, while I take a day or two to relax (just kidding, I don't know the meaning of that word). I will then be sending out the surveys in about 2 weeks. The survey will allow you to make sure that your address is correct, whether that is a physical one, or email. There will also be a place on there for you to tell me what name you want listed in the book (it doesn't have to be your real name if you want to remain anonymous). It is very important that you complete the survey and send it back. The faster I get all of the surveys returned to me, the faster I can get things shipped out.
While waiting for that information to come back to me, I will be getting the shipping materials ready to go. I need to wait on the surveys in order to get my final proof done, and then get the book printed, so I'll be working on preparing for shipment during that down time (not a minute wasted!). Once the final proof is approved, the copies will be printed, and the final steps begin-signing books, packing, and shipping everything.
This is a long process, but I will do my best to move it along as quickly as I can. Again, the faster I get all of the surveys back, the faster I can begin shipping your items out to you.

We're almost there!!! The next update you will get from me will be after the campaign ends. The light is shining at the end of the tunnel, and we're speeding our way towards it. In less than 48 hours, this campaign will be over.
Once it ends, I will send out updates on how things are going with production and shipping. I see no reason why I shouldn't be able to meet all deadlines posted, and I am going to do my best to get things out earlier if possible. Of course, we all know that life has a funny way of adding a plot twist, so I'm allowing for nature to take its toll. Fear not, as I will continue to update you along the way, so you'll stay in the loop with me.

I wanted to take a minute to wish everyone a very happy Father's Day! I am thankful to still have my amazing father with me, and close enough to be able to see him today to celebrate. I am also celebrating my husband, who is not only a wonderful partner to me, but such an awesome dad to our children. He is such a great role model to our kiddos, and I am thankful for him each and every day.
While I will be busy celebrating with my family today, I can't wait to get back to work, as there are only 6 days left on this campaign! Under a week to go, and it's going so fast. As always, I thank every one of you that has backed my book already. Your support means the world to me.
