We're down to the final 10 days! These last few days have flown by like a bird on a summer breeze. I am so thankful for everyone who has backed this project so far, and I can't wait to share my book with the public.
With June being PRIDE month, the timing of this campaign couldn't be more relevant. Every day I wake up and hope that things will change for the better. The LGBTQIA+ community has to fight for not only their rights, but for their survival. I hope that my book sheds some positive light on the world, and that it educates those who simply don't understand. Let it bring love to those who feel hate, and peace to those who are struggling.
Time is counting down towards the end of this campaign. If you are someone who has been following my page, but haven't backed the project yet, now is a great time to do so. Be one of the first people to get this story in your hands, and have it signed by me. You can have your name in the book (if you so chose), letting everyone know that you support the LGBTQIA+ community. This is the perfect time to help raise up those who need it by backing this campaign.

It's hard to believe, but this project has just finished it's first week on Kickstarter. That means we're one-third of the way done with this campaign already. I'm so happy that the funding goal has been met, and I appreciate each and every one of you that has supported me. Of course, we're not done yet!
The first stretch goal has been officially unlocked, which means that now you can order a HARDCOVER edition of the book, They are my Child. This option has been added to the rewards tier right after the paperback option. A hardcover book makes a great addition to any classroom or library. It's a great gift idea for that special teacher, principal, or media specialist!
If I can get to 100 backers, I'll unlock a THIRD bookmark design, and everyone who backs the project will get a bookmark added to their order for FREE! The next stretch goal is for $1,000, and that will allow me to create hardcover editions of my SIX previous children's books.
I know that these goals can seem pretty far away right now, but you can help me get there. Share this project with your coworkers, friends, and family. The more people who know about it, the greater the chance that we can hit future goals. If you're someone who has been watching the page, but hasn't decide whether or not to back the project yet, now is a great time to join the party!

Let me start by saying a very big THANK YOU to all of you! In just FIVE DAYS, you helped to get this project fully funded. This means more to me than I can express in words. My heart and soul are in those pages, and with your help, I am able so share that love with everyone else. I am so grateful for this opportunity, and I can't wait to see how far this project will go.
This also means that the first stretch goal has been unlocked! For reaching the goal of $500, I will now be creating a hardcover edition of They are my Child. This will be added to the rewards tiers soon, so keep an eye out for it!
